Terms of Use
What using Blackloud means
Reading Blackloud, following its guides or clicking through its product mentions means you accept the terms on this page for as long as you use the site. They are short and specific to a blog about gadgets, smart home and audio. Questions can go to [email protected].
Electronics, installation and hearing: what the articles are and are not
Articles are general information and personal opinion about consumer electronics. Devices differ by region, firmware version and setup, so your results may not match what is described. Specifications and prices change without notice. Blackloud is not electrical, installation or security advice. Before wiring a switch, mounting a camera, charging a battery or adjusting a mains-powered device, follow the maker’s instructions and use a qualified electrician where required. Listening at high volume can damage hearing, so keep levels comfortable.
Ownership of the content
The writing, layout and original images on Blackloud belong to the operator or are used with permission. You may read the pages, quote a short passage with a clear credit and share links. Taking a whole review or guide to post on another site, or to sell, needs written consent from the operator first.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break into the site, flood it with automated requests, scrape it at a disruptive rate, spread malicious code or use it to send spam. Using Blackloud to plan or carry out something illegal, such as spying on a neighbour through a hacked camera, is not allowed. We may block visitors whose traffic puts the site or other readers at risk.
What you send us
If you send a correction, a device question or a topic idea, you confirm that you have the right to share it. You allow us to read it and use the idea to improve Blackloud, with no obligation to reply or publish.
Ads, affiliate links and the shops and brands we mention
Blackloud may show advertising and may include affiliate links to retailers or manufacturers of smart plugs, speakers, earbuds and similar products, which can earn the operator a commission at no added cost to you. Those links do not decide what an article concludes. The stores, brand sites and apps you reach sit outside our control, and their prices, stock, support and data practices are theirs alone.
Warranties and liability
Blackloud is provided as it is and as available. As far as the law permits, the operator does not promise that the site will be accurate, complete or uninterrupted, and is not liable for loss arising from using the site or acting on a review, such as a purchase or a failed setup. Consumer rights that the law guarantees you, and any liability that the law does not let us exclude, remain untouched by these terms.
Changes and severability
We may update these terms or the site at any time, and updated terms apply once posted. If any part is held unenforceable, the remaining parts stay in force.
